KPM Berlin

 

Founded in 1763 under Frederick the Great, KPM Berlin has stood for exceptional porcelain artistry, blending timeless art and craftsmanship for over 250 years.

Large Mantel Clock 

 

Curved stand applied with flowers and leaves. The base of the mantel clock, raised on three scroll feet, the whole body applied with flowers and leaves. One sitting putto to the right, one sitting putto to the left. On top, a lady with a veil on, holding a snake in her hands, symbolizing eternity. Decorated with fine polychrome colors and gold. Round clock face with black Arabic and Roman numeralsA similar clock is in the collection of the National Museum of Stockholm.

Fine Mantel Clock

 

Of rococo shape, standing on a polylobed rococo pedestal. The mantel clock, in the shape of a rococo, stands on four scrolled legs. 

Round clock face with black Roman numerals. The center of the clock face is decorated with flowers. The body and the pedestal are decorated with summer flowers. The lower part of the clock is decorated with a gallant scene featuring a couple wearing elegant Rococo attire, playing chess. Polychrome decoration with gold and relief gold. 

Clockwork by Lenzkirch with a half-hour stroke on the bell.

Imperial Vase

KPM Vase

 

So-called „French Vase“. Ovoid body with two handles in fine bisquit and glazed porcelain, in a gold-framed, etched cartouche,

a landscape in the German highlands with river, architecture, and two persons.  Very fine quality decoration in polychrome colors.

 On the reverse, an escutcheon with a coat of arms. Gold decoration.

Art Noveau Vase

 

Baluster shape, cylindrical neck. At the show side in a large cartouche, framed by waves and shells, a sailing ship on a wave crest. 

The decoration is in polychrome pastel colors in brown, blue, and green. Decor: Theodor Schmuz-Baudis

Crater Vase

KPM Vase

 

Magnificent krater vase with views of the Roman Forum. In micromosaic painting, the so-called "Reden Vase" or "Medici Vase."

Square plinth with a raised round base. Hemispherically domed, conically rising body with a wide, sweeping, overhanging rim. Curved, round handles on the sides. On both sides of the body, within gold-framed octagonal reserves, views of the Temple of Saturn and the Sanctuary of Vesta in the Roman Forum are depicted in fine micromosaic painting. Florally ornamented borders run all around on a white, chamois, and lavender ground. Rich, etched gold painting and decoration.

Art Noveau  Jardinière

 

Floral Art Nouveau shape with floral handles on each side. Several applied flowers, the show side and reverse, with a stylized floral pierced part. Elegant and subtle floral decoration, as well as fine relief Art Nouveau decoration executed in polychrome colors.

Extraordinary KPM Berlin Art-Déco Vase. Of octagonal baluster shape, with an octagonal domed cover. Decorated with fine flowers and leaves, the upper part has scale décor and stylized elements. Executed in grey, iron-red, yellow, green, purple, and gold.
