Porcelain
Our porcelain collection unites historic treasures with modern creations, with a strong focus on fine Meissen Porcelain
alongside other renowned manufactories.

Porcelain has always been at the very heart of Sabatier’s expertise. For decades, the gallery has cultivated a deep and scholarly engagement with the great European porcelain manufactories, combining connoisseurship, market experience, and an uncompromising standard of quality. Meissen, KPM Berlin, Sèvres and selected other manufactories form the core of this specialization, spanning both historic and later productions.
Sabatier’s approach to porcelain goes far beyond decorative appeal. Each object is understood as a cultural document: a synthesis of artistic ambition, technical mastery, and historical context. Particular emphasis is placed on early and exceptional Meissen works, rare KPM pieces, and refined examples from the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres. These objects are carefully examined with regard to model, painting quality, condition, provenance, and period authenticity.

Over the years, Sabatier has handled numerous museum-level works, including highly important and rare objects that extend well beyond tableware. Notably, the gallery has been involved with exceptional Meissen furniture and large-scale decorative pieces, which rank among the most ambitious creations of European porcelain production. Such works underline the sculptural and architectural potential of porcelain and testify to its status as a medium of prestige and innovation.
This sustained focus has made Sabatier a reliable partner for private collectors, institutions, and museums. The gallery works closely with clients on both individual acquisitions and the careful development of collections, always with a clear eye for quality, authenticity, and historical relevance. Long-standing relationships, discreet private sourcing, and hands-on experience with important objects allow Sabatier to operate with confidence in the upper segment of the porcelain market.
